There’s something grounding about walking among the Rockies. The stillness, the air, the views — they all make you feel small in the best way.
I tackled a moderate trail near Lake Louise. Snow still dusted the peaks, and the trail was scattered with pine needles and birdsong. I ended the hike tired, muddy, and absolutely grateful.
Tip: Go early. The mountains are even more magical when it’s just you and the rising sun.
